When packing for a trip to Poland, first consider the time of year you are visiting. Poland has a temperate climate, so pack layers of clothing, including a warm jacket or coat for the colder months. In summer, light clothing is best for staying cool.
Winter programmes
When packing for winter in Poland, prioritise warm clothing such as thermal layers, a heavy coat and thick socks. Don’t forget accessories like hats, scarves and gloves for protection against the cold.
Bring waterproof outer layers and warm accessories such as hand warmers, and remember moisturiser, sunglasses and any medication you need.
Ski programmes
If you join a ski programme, bring specialised skiing gear and waterproof clothing, such as a ski suit, gloves and a warm hat. Please note that Angloville does not provide ski clothing, so make sure you have these items ready for your trip.
Summer programmes
Summer in Poland can be hotter than you would think, so pack lightweight, breathable clothing (T-shirts, shorts, skirts, dresses, light trousers) and don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses.
Remember a hat or cap, comfortable walking shoes, a swimsuit and a towel, as some of our venues have wonderful pools or lake beaches. Occasional showers are possible even in summer, so it’s a good idea to pack a lightweight rain jacket or an umbrella.
Good to know
If you plan to explore Poland independently, consider downloading a travel app to help you get around and find things to do. Many people in Poland speak English, but it is always nice to learn a few basic phrases in the local language.
Don’t forget the essentials: your passport, travel insurance and any other necessary travel documents. It is also a good idea to have some cash and a credit card for shopping, snacks and extra activities, and we recommend bringing a reusable bottle.
If you are coming from a country with a different type of electrical outlet, you will need an adapter plug to charge your devices.
