Later in the afternoon, you will participate in games and the first speaking sessions.

Finally, you’ll check-in at our venue and enjoy some well-deserved rest after that exciting first day.

Typical Day

Each day you will take part in multiple 50-60 minute sessions. You will also work with your assigned local participant on a presentation and topic of their choice. They will present this at the end of the week.

Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) take an hour each, and there’s 1.5 hours of free time daily.

After a long day of sessions and activities, you will have a chance to rest and enjoy the evening during social time. You are welcome to introduce and lead your favourite games!

Conversation & Educational Activities

You will be doing mostly two-to-one (two locals and one English-speaking participant) and one-to-one speaking sessions.

These sessions are an opportunity to share your culture, personal experience and way of life but also to learn more about local participant’s life, projects, dreams, etc.

The programme includes group activities, cultural sessions, study abroad sessions, and lots of fun games, sports activities, and a field trip.

One of the main attractions of the Junior programme are the various field trips and workshops.

The Malta programme includes a lot of day trips: aquapark, boat trip to Gozo Island, excursion to the capital Valletta and many more…

At the end of the programme, local participants will present their presentations and everyone will receive their Angloville certificate of participation.

Local Guide Tips

✈️ When to arrive in Malta

Angloville advises International Participants to arrive 1 or 2 days before the programme starts. To arrive at the first starting city, we recommend: www.skyscanner.com to look for some good flight deals. Budget airlines within Europe (Wizz air and Ryanair) have some great deals for the upcoming months, with fares starting from £30!

You can book your return flight for the last day of the programme, but make sure you’ll be flying from the capital city, not earlier than 23:00. Generally, our participants prefer to book their return flight the day after the programme to enjoy a proper rest before flying.

We will include all the important information in an info-pack (2-3 weeks before the programme starts).

?️ Where to stay before or after the programme

Msida is a town in Malta located near the capital city of Valletta, and there are several hotel options available for visitors to stay in. Whatever your budget is, we suggest you use Couchsurfing (for free accommodation), HostelWorld and Booking.com (for a bed in a dorm or a cheap hotel deal), or AirBnB (for a private room or a flat to share).

? How to get to the venue

Public transport is available from Msida. We recommend these lines and routes: 13, 204, 44, 50, X1 and X2. Also, check out this list of stops that are closest to the venue: Imperu; Hasselin; Argens; Msida; Qroqq 4; Qroqq 3 and Qroqq 5. Moovit provides free maps and live directions: www.moovitapp.com

? What to pack

Packing for Malta should be done with comfort, lightweight clothing, and sun protection in mind. The Mediterranean climate with hot summers, are best for breathable clothing, such as cotton or linen, and comfortable footwear. Malta has beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters, so don’t forget to pack swimwear. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are essential items to protect yourself from the sun’s strong rays. It’s the standard European plug, so be sure to pack an adapter for your electronics. Don’t forget to pack your passport, travel insurance, and any other necessary travel documents. Also, it’s a good idea to have some cash and credit cards for shopping, snacks, and other extra activities.
