Criminal Record Check and Country Residency History for the Last 20 Years

At Angloville, we are committed to ensuring a safe and enriching experience for all participants.

In Poland, local regulations require a very strict criminal record check protocol since February 15. To maintain the highest standards of safety and trust, local authorities require all applicants joining a programme involving underage participants to provide a comprehensive country residency history for the last 20 years and a criminal record check for all these countries.

This process aims to verify the backgrounds of our participants, ensuring a secure environment where everyone can learn, grow, and enjoy their journey with peace of mind.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in creating a safe community for everyone.

    Frequently asked questions

Which information should include a criminal record check?

The document must be a comprehensive background check and confirm that you are not barred from working with children, include a check against the sex offender list, and be issued within the last six months from the date of your application. The authorities in charge of the criminal record check will investigate offenses or crimes related to (but not limited to) alcohol and drug substance abuse, violence, or sex crimes. In case any information regarding the criminal history of an applicant is discovered, Angloville may have to reject the application in accordance with the local law in force.

Why do I have to provide a crimnal record check for every country I resided in over the last 20 years?

The requirement to provide a criminal record check from every country you’ve resided in over the last 20 years (since reaching adulthood) in Poland is primarily for safety and security reasons. It allows for a comprehensive background check, which is crucial in identifying any potential legal issues or concerns that might not be apparent if only local or recent histories were considered.

Angloville adheres to Poland’s stringent legal standards and requirements for the vetting process in accordance with the law.

What do we mean by “permanent country residence”?

By “permanent country residence,” we refer to a country where an individual has lived continuously (since reaching adulthood) for a significant period, typically for purposes other than short-term stays such as tourism, and where they have established their main place of living or base of operations. This is usually demonstrated through legal residency status, long-term housing arrangements, or other formal ties to the country.

For instance, we consider an individual to have “permanently resided in a country” if they have paid taxes there, spent a school semester, etc.

What should I do if I can’t obtain a criminal record check from a country I resided in?

If you’re unable to obtain a criminal record check from the country you resided in, it’s important to communicate this issue to Angloville as soon as possible.

Upon consulting our legal department, we may provide you with alternative procedures or documentation requirements to fulfill the necessary background check.

Always ensure clear and timely communication to explore possible solutions.

    False declaration and forgery

Making a false declaration or committing forgery in relation to a criminal record check or country residency history is a serious offense. Such actions not only undermine the integrity of the application process but can also lead to legal consequences and the immediate rejection of your application.

It is essential to provide accurate and truthful information to ensure a fair and secure verification process for everyone involved.
