Such requirements are determined solely by those organisations and are outside the control of Angloville.
Although Angloville does not determine these requirements, it is required to communicate, apply, and enforce them as a condition of participation in the Programme. Participants acknowledge that compliance with all applicable requirements is mandatory and that failure to satisfy any such requirement may result in the rejection, suspension, withdrawal, or termination of their application or participation without any liability on the part of Angloville or the Local Service Provider.
5.4 Application Process. Applicants may be required to complete one or more stages of the application process, including the submission of a CV, motivation letter, official references, a self-introduction video, and any other supporting documentation requested by the Local Service Provider, partner school, or prospective employer. Applicants may also be required to participate in one or more telephone or video interviews conducted by representatives of the Local Service Provider, partner schools, employers, or other affiliated organisations.
5.5 Employer Approval. Acceptance onto a Programme remains subject to the approval of the relevant employer, partner school, Local Service Provider, or other partner organisation, where applicable.
5.6 No Guarantee of Acceptance. Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements, successfully completing the application process, or participating in interviews does not guarantee acceptance onto a Programme, an offer of employment, or placement with any particular employer, school, location, or position.
5.7 Final Recruitment Decision. The recruitment and selection process for the Programme, including any TEFL course, internship, or job placement, is managed exclusively by the Local Service Provider and, where applicable, the employing school or partner organisation. The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of any application rests solely with the Local Service Provider and/or the relevant employer or partner school. Angloville has no authority to influence, review, or overturn such decisions. All decisions are final, and neither the Local Service Provider, the employer, nor the partner school is under any obligation to provide reasons for rejecting an application.
5.8. Local Recruitment Practices. Participants acknowledge that recruitment and selection decisions are made in accordance with the laws, regulations, professional standards, and customary recruitment practices of the host country. The Local Service Provider and its partner schools comply with the applicable laws of the host country. Participants further acknowledge that, in addition to qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role, local employers may lawfully consider factors permitted under the laws of the host country, including, where applicable, personal presentation, communication skills, accent, medical fitness, or other job-related criteria. Such decisions are made solely by the employer and are entirely outside the control of Angloville and the Local Service Provider.
5.9. Medical Insurance. Participants may be required to provide satisfactory proof of such insurance to Angloville and/or the Local Service Provider at any time before or during the Programme. Failure to obtain or produce adequate insurance may result in refusal of participation or removal from the Programme without any entitlement to a refund, credit, or compensation.
6. Deposit and remainder fee
When purchasing a TEFL course, internship, job placement, or any other programme or service, the Participant must pay a deposit to Angloville International Ltd in order to commence the application process and reserve a place on the selected Programme.
Upon request by the Local Service Provider, the remaining Programme Fee shall be paid directly to the Local Service Provider in accordance with its payment instructions, including the payment deadline, accepted payment method, and currency specified by the Local Service Provider. From that point onwards, the organisation and delivery of the Programme shall be the responsibility of the Local Service Provider.
All fees paid directly to the Local Service Provider shall be governed exclusively by the Local Service Provider’s own terms and conditions, including its policies relating to payments, cancellations, refunds, and credits. Participants should refer directly to those terms.
Angloville shall have no responsibility or liability for the refund, credit, or reimbursement of any sums paid directly to the Local Service Provider. Likewise, the Local Service Provider shall have no responsibility or liability for the refund, credit, or reimbursement of any sums paid directly to Angloville.
7. Cancellation and refund policy
7.1 Cancellation by the participant
7.1.1 Deposit:
- If for any reason the participant changes their mind and wants to withdraw from the 4-week TEFL course or TEFL internship, the participant is entitled to a full refund of the deposit fee within 14 days of the payment of the deposit.
- A 40% refund is available for deposit payments requested thirty days or more before the course or internship initially selected start date.
- Deposit payments become non-refundable if visa paperwork has been processed for the participant.
- Deposits are non-refundable if the request is made less than thirty days before the course or internship initially selected start date.
- Angloville or its Local Service Provider is not responsible for any fees incurred by the Participant due to cancellation, including airline tickets, visas, and travel insurance.
7.1.2 Remainder fee. Participants acknowledge that all payments made directly to the Local Service Provider are subject exclusively to the Local Service Provider’s own terms and conditions, which Participants are deemed to have accepted upon payment of the remaining Programme Fee. Accordingly, any request for a refund, credit, reimbursement, or any other claim relating to such payments must be addressed directly to the Local Service Provider. Angloville accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever in respect of any sums paid directly to the Local Service Provider.
7.2 Rejected Application. In the event that the participant’s application for the internship or Job placement is rejected by the Local Service Provider, the participant will receive a full refund minus 50% of the fee for the Angloville International Ltd training course included. The participant will retain full access to this course.
7.3 Rejected Visa. In the unlikely event of a visa application being refused, the deposit and fee refund policy conditions will apply.
7.4. Documentation Compliance. The participant is required to comply with all deadlines for documentation provided by the Local Service Provider’s team. Delays in either the TEFL course studying or the production of necessary documentation may result in the participant’s internship application being void, with no refund possible.
7.5 Cancellation by the Local Service Provider. Angloville International Ltd and our Local Service Provider will not provide compensation if the participant’s internship is cancelled, shortened, delayed, or otherwise altered due to unforeseeable circumstances that neither party could reasonably foresee or prevent, despite exercising due care. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, war or the threat of war, terrorist activities or threats thereof, riots or civil disturbances, adverse weather conditions, etc.
8. Employment contracts with local employers
8.1 Work Authorization. Working in a foreign country typically requires appropriate legal authorization, such as an employment visa, though exceptions may exist for internships or volunteer roles. For long-term or regular employment, necessary paperwork will be coordinated with the employer to obtain the required visa or authorization. However, employers are not obligated to provide employment-related visas; this decision depends on their discretion, the employee’s commitment length, and may involve a probationary period. Ultimately, it is the Participant’s responsibility to maintain legal working status in the host country at all times.
8.2 Work Authorization and Visa Trip Costs. Participants may need to travel to obtain or renew their employment-related visas, with associated costs, such as visa fees or travel expenses, generally being the Participant’s responsibility. Employers may assist with these costs.
8.3 Employment contracts. Employment contracts are entered into directly between the Participant and the employing school or employer and are governed exclusively by the applicable laws of the host country. All employment terms, including, without limitation, salary, benefits, working hours, duties, and other conditions of employment, are determined solely by the employer in accordance with local laws, regulations, salary scales, and institutional policies.
8.4 Salaries. Salaries are not determined by Angloville. All salary negotiations are conducted under the sole responsibility of Angloville’s designated local Local Service Provider and are governed exclusively by that partner’s own terms and conditions. Participants are required to review the applicable terms of use of the relevant Local Service Provider for full details.
8.5 Confidentiality, Non-Disclosure, and Non-Solicitation Policies. Participants are required to acknowledge that all salary and benefits information is strictly confidential and must not be disclosed to, or discussed with, other teachers or third parties. Compliance with this confidentiality obligation is essential to maintaining a positive, fair, and professional workplace. Any breach of this requirement may result in disciplinary action by the placement school and may negatively affect the Participant’s ongoing or future employment.
Participants are further prohibited from recruiting, soliciting, or approaching teachers placed by Angloville or its designated Local Service Provider at other schools for employment or job opportunities without the prior written consent of Angloville and its Local Service Provider.
This policy is established to preserve the trust and integrity of Angloville’s relationships with its partner schools. Any violation may result in the withdrawal of lifetime placement privileges and restrictions on future in-country support through Angloville and its Local Service Provider.
8.6 Exiting School Contract. If a teacher quits without providing their contract’s minimum notice period, they should not expect to receive their full salary or any portion of it for that month, as this decision rests entirely with the school. Leaving without notice disrupts the school and students and can be embarrassing for the administration, which must justify the expense to parents funding the native English teacher’s salary. In cases of urgent departure due to a verifiable family emergency or personal illness, Angloville’s Local Service Provider will support a placement offer upon the teacher’s return. However, Angloville or its Local Service Provider cannot guarantee salary payment from the original school for departures made without the required notice.
8.7 Basis for Programme Dismissal. Participants in all Programmes are required to maintain high standards of conduct, professionalism, and engagement at all times. Without limitation, a Participant may be suspended or dismissed from the Programme for any of the following reasons:

- Refusal or failure to settle outstanding financial obligations to Angloville or its designated Local Service Provider
- Inability to provide adequate insurance coverage for the programme duration
- Failure to present a clear background check or address discrepancies with Angloville or its designated Local Service Provider
8.7.1 Alcohol and Narcotics. Policy Participants are strictly prohibited from attending the programme under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. Violating this rule will result in expulsion from the course and ineligibility for placement. Angloville and/or its designated Local Service Provider assume no responsibility for Participants hospitalized due to substance use. Participants arrested or accused of narcotics use on or off school premises will be immediately expelled from the programme.
8.7.2 Aggressive Behavior and Assault Policy. Participants must demonstrate patience and restraint, as the teaching profession involves direct contact with children. Excessive or aggressive behavior is incompatible with programme standards and may lead to disqualification from placement opportunities. Participants found guilty of assaulting anyone, including peers and staff, will be expelled from the programme without eligibility for placement.
8.7.3 Review Process. If any infractions are identified, Angloville and/or its designated Local Service Provider management will conduct a thorough review, including documenting the incident, investigating the matter, and making a final decision. Consequences may vary from a written warning to dismissal from the programme or placement.
8.7.4 Failure to Pay Invoice. Participants must settle outstanding invoices within four days of issuance. Failure to do so may result in a delay in placement and/or temporary suspension from the course until full payment is received. Participants risk losing their placement or facing further delays if payment is late, and they will be responsible for any associated costs. Late payments will incur a fee of $100 per week.
9. Non-Liabilities for Participant, Angloville and its designated Local Service Provider
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither Angloville nor its designated Local Service Provider, nor any of their respective directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, representatives, affiliates, partner schools, or suppliers, shall be liable for any loss, damage, injury, expense, delay, or claim arising directly or indirectly from any of the following (including, without limitation):

- the issuance, sponsorship, or approval of any work permit, visa, residence permit, or employment authorisation, which remains solely at the discretion of the relevant employer and the competent governmental authorities;
- any injury, illness, disability, death, accident, theft, loss, damage to property, financial loss, or any other loss or expense suffered by the Participant during or in connection with the Programme, except where caused directly by the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of Angloville where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded;
- any acts, omissions, negligence, or defaults of employers, partner schools, accommodation providers, transportation providers, host families, independent contractors, governmental authorities, or any other third party;
