The Angloville Kids programme is a great opportunity for young English-speakers who already have some experience with children aged 7-11. You will support our youngest children in familiarising themselves with the English language and the culture of English-speaking countries and overcoming their fear of speaking. If you enjoy working with young children, this programme is perfect for you! You will have tons of fun during games, sports and outdoor activities, and laid back speaking sessions, all while meeting like-minded young travellers from around the world.
On our Kids programmes, you will be spending time with bilingual local teachers and groups of 4-8 students. Children are aged 7-11, and they typically number up to 20. Our English-speaking participants are university students, recent graduates, and other enthusiastic people aged 18-35 who have at least some experience working with this age group. They enjoy spending time and playing with kids and watching their language skills develop. They also like to travel, experience new places and cultures, and meet new people. The Kids programme is a great opportunity if you would like to gain extra experience working with children as part of your professional development, since you will be accompanied by experienced local teachers.
One of the main attractions of the Kids programme is a field trip or a workshop. Depending on the venue, you may do some trekking, take a boat trip, bake bread, or make traditional regional food, such as Polish pierogies. At the end of the programme, everyone will receive the Angloville certificate of participation.
On the first day you will have a chance to get to know your group, as the coordinators will introduce you to the programme. Later in the afternoon, you will participate in games and the first interactive sessions. Each day you will take part in various 30-60 minute sessions, some alongside an experienced local teacher, some activity-focused ( e.g., an outdoor game) just with a group of 4-5 kids. Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) take an hour each and, additionally, there are a few slots for free time during the day. After all the sessions and activities, you will have a chance to rest and have fun in the evening during social time. There may be a talent show, a disco, and you are welcome to introduce and lead your favourite games! At the end of the programme, you will all receive the Angloville certificate of participation.
Each day of the programme is themed. There are days dedicated to superheroes, fairy tales, or pirates. You will be spending time with the children during recreational activities, cultural meetings, games, or arts and crafts activities.
We invite you to participate in our free walking tour of your departure city! The tours take place one day before the programme, usually between 10 AM and 2 PM. They are not mandatory, but highly recommended! You will have a chance to see some beautiful local sights, get to know the history of the city, and enjoy a lunch with some of your fellow international participants. Our programme coordinator will also give you a short introduction and briefing about the coming week, along with some useful tips on how to make the most out of your stay with Angloville.
