Your Teaching Experience

Before you start your exciting new life in Vietnam, we recommend taking a minimum of 120 hours of TEFL training, to fully prepare you for success as an English teacher abroad. Learn the key techniques of teaching English through total language submersion as well as develop your skills and understand what’s expected of you.

Your week-long arrival orientation is spent settling into Vietnam life and culture as well as preparing for success in the classroom. During this initial week of localization, you’ll dive into workshops on school methodology, classroom management and lesson delivery – all the while developing your teaching skills for the upcoming semester.

Put into practice all of the training you’ve so far received with pre-prepared lessons from your school curriculum. Share hints and tips on what went well (and what to avoid) with fellow newly-arrived teachers as you move confidently into your own classroom.

Have the time of your life, experience Vietnam with Angloville through Premier TEFL, an internationally accredited and top rated TEFL provider.

Wondering what you’re going to do with your precious free time? We’re glad you asked! We know your adventure bucket list is long, but make sure you tack these recommendations from past TEFL teachers in Vietnam towards the top!

CityHo Chi Minh City, also known by its former name of Saigon, is the most populous and most popular city in Vietnam. The current name, Ho Chi Minh City, was given after the Fall of Saigon in 1975 to honor Ho Chi Minh. Roaming around Ho Chi Minh, you will be welcomed by both the smiling locals and the delighted tourists alike.
FoodVietnamese cuisine doesn't win any points for complexity. Many of the most popular dishes can be made just as well on the side of the road as in a top-end restaurant but it's precisely this simplicity, the subtle variations by region and the fresh ingredients, that keep us pulling up a plastic stool for more. Enjoy their delicious broth of “Pho” or a sumptuous Vietnamese “baguette and pate” called “Bahn Mi”
ActivityIf you are an active type, Vietnam has many a trail for you to blaze and hiking in this country features so many different types of topography you'll wonder if you haven't strayed over the border or not. Scuba Diving along the central coast is gorgeous while exploring the nooks and crannies of Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, or even paradisiacal Hoi An is a great way to spend the afternoon.
