  • It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It was an amazing experience being able to stay in nice hotels for free while being fed Polish meals three times a day. The venues are great, the staff is kind, outgoing, respectful, hard working, and also caring. The Polish participants you teach are amazingly talented, most are friendly, and outgoing. You will notice that the participants want to be there and they love the speaking sessions. The week is well organized and is filled with many speaking sessions, group activities, and games; but there is free time to rest as well. I did three programs in Poland and they were all amazing and each were different from the types of people and venues but equally spectacular. I highly suggest doing an Angloville program, it will be one of the best experiences of your life.

  • Fantastic opportunity to experience the country and its people- You'll spend six days at a secluded, picturesque venue in Poland, dining and socialising with everyone, creating an idea of what it's like to live in an English speaking country for Polish participants and yes, they will love it as much you will love the process of giving them this unique opportunity. Days start with breakfasts where you will be asked to make sure the number of native speakers and Polish participants at the table is about the same. This applies for lunch and dinner as well. At first, before you get to know everyone, this might be a bit out of your comfort zone but trust me, as days go by and you establish bonds with everyone around you, this will come with ease. Each day you will have both one-on-one sessions with different people and one hour with your mentee where you help them prepare a short presentation of their choice. This can be anything from their life, work or hobbies, the most important thing is that the subject is something they feel comfortable talking about. Be ready for fun activities like volleyball, paddle boating and cycling in your free time or during lunch breaks or, if you wish, during one-on-one sessions as well. I had the most amazing time walking around the lake and exploring the venue with my mentee during our sessions.

  • An absolutely AWESOME experience, one of the most rewarding things that I have ever done or participated in, I am now pursuing a TEFL certification because of this experience, I would recommend the program to anyone, and have been actively recommending to my friends. The students are absolutely brilliant, and are so enthusiastic, they make you feel so welcome which is good, you are after all a guest in their country. The volunteers are awesome and come from all over the world, so not only do you get to meet Polish, Czech, Romanian, Hungarian people but also you get to meet fellow "travellers". The improvement in the participant's spoken english over the course of the program is impressive, it is rewarding to see the difference from their first night to their "graduation" at the end of the course. I only wish that I spoke Polish, Czech, Romanian, or Hungarian as well as these guys and girls speak English - Unfortunately Englishmen are not known for their foreign language skills. For my part I am trying to learn Polish, but it is very hard, so it makes me appreciate what the students go through, and I am certain that my Polish will never be as good as my students English.

  • Had a great time recently with a group being led by Ryan and Mattie. My first time with Angloville, though not a newcomer to Poland. I was with a lovely bunch of people at Chojnik, great location, such tranquility. Ryan and Mattie are really laid back but instil a discipline in everyone because you WANT to please them. I hope the Polish participants enjoyed their experience as much as I did and I would happily take part in Angloville projects again. Highly recommended 😉

  • I couldn't recommend this program enough!! I spent a week in the mountains close to Wroclaw with the best bunch of polish adults and other English speaking volunteers. The program was pretty relaxed and very well organised, the polish participants were so lovely and I loved chatting with them and have made so many new friends I hope I can visit one day. The hotel is awesome and was a total luxury for me (a backpacker), great food and fun evenings having a few drinks with everyone. I wish I could have done another week or two. You won't regret saying yes to this!

  • This was my first workaway experience and I had an amazing time here! It was a really interesting cultural experience with people from all over the world, whilst helping Polish children to learn English. If you do two weeks or more you can get a free TEFL qualification too! The week was very well organised and the hotel facilities were great! If you're thinking about teaching English as a foreign language, this is the perfect place to get some experience.

  • I would highly recommend for any English-speaking individual (who has a good knowledge of it and either was born in an English-speaking country or has a mild accent, like I do) and those want to improve English to jump into this program head first. It would be a new experience and meeting new people of different backgrounds and experiences is always a great idea.

  • I've now taken part in two Angloville programmes, both in Poland, and wouldn't hesitate a second to do another. The quality of accommodation is always a 3-4* hotel and usually in stunning surroundings - I did the Wroclaw and Krakow in October and January respectively, one in the middle of a golden autumn forest and the other amongst the ski slopes of the Polish High Tatra mountains. The true value of Angloville, however, is the exchange between volunteers and participants. You'll meet a huge variety of people over the 6 days (from businessmen to artists to nanophysicists) and make some great friends in that short time. 70 hours of speaking might sound like a lot and, in many ways, it is. However each hour is spent with a different participant and conversation typically flows very naturally. You'll always have 1.5 hours free time after lunch to rest or explore the immediate area then social time after dinner.

  • I helped on the first ever Junior International Camp in Dublin for 10 days and it was a brilliant experience that I will always remember. The organisers made my time there really easy and enjoyable and the Polish and Hungarian students couldn't have been better! The days could be long but it was completely worth it just to speak to and help the teenagers with their English. There was also plenty of time to wind down and chill with the other volunteers and I am still in contact with many of them. I particularly liked the trips out into the city and our time at the beach on the final day! An experience I highly recommend 🙂

  • What a great experience it was to be apart of the juniors program in Krakow. We had a fantastic time working with other native English speakers and helping the kids with English communication. The venue was amazing, it had really great facilities and served delicious traditional Polish food. The highlight of our week was getting to know the junior participants and the other volunteers and coordinators, we all became really good friends and we will miss everyone so much. By the end of the week we felt like one big family, we can't wait to sign up for another program. It was a very rewarding experience and we highly recommend volunteering at these camps.

  • It's an amazing experience, I made so many friends and learned a lot during my three weeks there. You learn a lot about Polish culture from the kids, and many of them become really attached to you and even cry when the week is over because they had a really good time. But be aware that it's about 70 hours a week, not 18, also you'll be far away from main cities so you're mostly confined to the venue for a full week because even if there was something close you wouldn't have time. Apart from that I totally recommend this experience, I had a great time. Thank you angloville.

  • The weeks I spent with Angloville were some of the best weeks of my life. I was so impressed with how well organized the program was, and the other volunteers and coordinators were some of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Additionally, all of the participants were extremely friendly and taught me so much about their lives and their culture. I cannot stress enough how strongly I recommend volunteering with Angloville. It is difficult to put my experience into words, but I am confident in saying Angloville was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself.
