The Angloville Kids programme is a great opportunity for young native English-speakers who already have some experience in working with children aged 7-11. You will support our youngest students in familiarising themselves with the English language and the culture of English-speaking countries and overcoming their fear of speaking. If you enjoy working with the youngest students, this programme will be perfect for you! You will have tons of fun during games, sports and outdoor activities and laid-back speaking sessions, in the meantime meeting like-minded young travelers from around the world.

Who are the participants?

On the Kids programmes, you will be working with bi-lingual local teachers and groups of 4-8 students. Children are aged 7-11 and they typically number up to 20. Our English-speaking volunteers are university students, recent graduates and other enthusiastic people aged 18-35, with at least some experience in working with this age group. They enjoy spending time and playing with kids and seeing their language skills develop. They like to travel, explore new places and cultures. The Kids programme is a great opportunity if you would like to get extra experience working with children as part of your professional development since you will be accompanied by experienced local teachers.

What will my day consist of?

Schedule & Activities

Each day of the programme is themed, there are days dedicated to superheroes, fairy tales or pirates. You will be assisting the children during recreational activities, cultural meetings, games, or arts&crafts activities.

On the first day you will have a chance to get to know your group as the coordinators will introduce you to the programme. Later in the afternoon, you will participate in games  and the first interactive sessions. Each day you will take part in various 30-60 minute sessions; some alongside an experienced local teacher, some, e.g. an outdoor game, just with a group of 4-5 kids. Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) take an hour each and, additionally, there are a few slots for free time during the day. After all the sessions and activities, you will have a chance to rest and have fun in the evening during the social time. There may be a talent show, a disco and you are welcome to introduce and lead your favourite games! At the end of the programme, you will all receive the Angloville certificate of participation.

One of the main attractions of the kids programme is a field trip or a workshop. Depending on the venue, you may do some trekking, take a boat trip, bake a bread or make traditional Polish “pierogis”. At the end of the programme, everyone will all receive the Angloville certificate of participation.
