The Angloville Junior programme is a great opportunity for young English-speakers to support ambitious youth aged 12-18 on their journey towards achieving fluency in English or attaining higher-education opportunities in English-speaking countries. Throughout these programmes you will have tons of fun during games, outdoor activities, and laid back speaking sessions, all while learning about the local culture and meeting like-minded young travellers from around the world.
On each programme, there are around 40 local participants aged 12-18 and around 20 English-speaking participants. Local participants are primary and secondary school students. Many of them have never had a chance to speak English with native speakers, but want to gain confidence and fluency in the language. Some are even planning to study abroad at universities in English-speaking countries. International participants are university students, recent graduates, and other enthusiastic people aged 18-35. They like to explore new places and cultures, meet new people, and make their travel meaningful. The various speaking sessions and other activities give international participants a chance to make friends with locals and fellow English-speakers alike. Many Angloville participants keep in touch for years after the programme, and sometimes even visit each other later on!
On the first day, you will get to know your group as the coordinators introduce you to the programme. Later in the afternoon, you will participate in games and the first speaking sessions. Each day you will take part in multiple 50-60 minute sessions, and you will also work with your assigned local participants on presentations on topics of their choice that they will present at the end of the week. Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) take an hour each, and there are also 1,5 hours of free time daily. After a long day of sessions and activities, you will have a chance to rest and have fun in the evening during social time. You are welcome to introduce and lead your favourite games!
You will be doing mostly two-on-one (two locals and one English-speaking participant) and one-on-one speaking sessions, but the programme also includes group activities, cultural sessions, study abroad sessions, and lots of fun games, sports activities, and a field trip.
One of main attractions of the Junior programme are the various field trips and workshops. Depending on the venue, you may do some trekking, take a boat trip, bake bread, or learn to make traditional Polish pierogies. At the end of the programme, local participants will give their presentations and everyone will receive their Angloville certificate of participation.
We invite you to participate in our free walking tour of your departure city! The tours take place one day before the programme, usually between 10 AM and 2 PM. They are not mandatory, but highly recommended! You will have a chance to see some beautiful local sights, get to know the history of the city, and perhaps enjoy lunch with some of your fellow international participants afterwards. Your programme coordinator will also give you a short introduction and briefing about the coming week, along with some useful tips on how to make the most out of your stay with Angloville.
Angloville Junior programmes last 7 days, from Sunday to Saturday.
